ARINC Completes Implementation of EftiaÂs Master.Scribe Suite
Ottawa, Canada (PRWEB) April 15, 2005
Eftia, a global provider of operations management software solutions designed to meet the business automation needs of communications service providers and large enterprises, today announced that ARINC, an Annapolis, Maryland based transportation, communications and systems engineering firm, has completed the phased implementation of EftiaÂs Master.Scribe Suite.
ARINC started their implementation with the Master.Scribe Inventory Module, which allowed them to eliminate several disparate applications and databases. ÂWe now have one authoritative database of record for all of our circuits and assets says Jerry Owens, Director of Infrastructure Support, ÂWe can now quickly obtain and report on all necessary information to manage our inventory, such as circuits and equipment in service, actual in-service dates, disconnects, and even depreciation schedules if we chooseÂ.
ARINC then followed with the implementation of the MasterScribe Service Order Module, which allowed them to combine all of their provisioning processes into a series of crisp workflows, all managed within the OSS Suite.  No more swivel-chair data entry, faxes, or emails says Mike Martelli, ARINCÂs Project Manager for Operations. All aspects of the provisioning process are managed within the Master.Scribe Suite with activity assignments automatically controlled and exceptions reported when a service jeopardy existsÂ.
Just recently, the Master.Scribe Trouble Management module was rolled out to complete the project. ÂThis was a smooth rolloutÂ, remarked Owens, ÂThe fact that the modules are already tightly integrated eliminated a lot of worry and minimized testingÂ. ÂOur OperationÂs Team is seeing a great improvement in the day-to-day operation with complete access to all customer and network information, and a reduction in the amount of tickets opened due to the tight parent-child data relationships within the system Overall, itÂs been a very positive product implementation and the Eftia team has been very dedicated and responsive.
ÂThe next steps will be to promote the capabilities of the Master.Scribe Suite into other verticals at ARINCÂ, says Joey Leaskey, Eftia Director of Global Sales. ÂThat process has already begun and it will continue to add to the solid ROI model being realized for this OSS applicationÂ.
